Trident has now officially (re)launched our IRC (Internet Relay Chat) server. IRC is a type of text chat that's been around since the very beginning of the internet, and there are a wealth of available clients for people to connect with. I have also set up a web chat on the site where you can access IRC from if you don't want to install a client. We hope that IRC will be useful to everyone, for chatting while at work, organising games, etc. To connect, simply click on the IRC link in the navbar and either follow the instructions to configure a client or simply click the Connect button to instantaneously login. If you need any help at all with IRC, feel free to contact me or TheCainer. TheCainer has extensive IRC experience and will be helping me run the server by taking on the role of IRCop.
I'm just there to help out with questions when jackjack isn't there, is too busy or too slow and to keep an eye out for anything that starts going haywire and yell at jackjack along with everyone else, nothing officery-like
Nice one Jack, I will look at ways I can integrate this into the desktop app and throw some ideas at you. I'd like to make it much more integrated, not sure yet but might use a native client in our code.
