    Hello Trident!

The merge has finally happened and the farm is real! It's also changed the PS2 landscape quite a bit, over th past year we've known 4 EU servers and the game has gone from new to, well, not-so-new. With that Trident has to adapt to the changing landscape. many of you know we've had a tough policy on 4th factioners in the past and have had rules about playing anything other than VS on Cobalt. With only 2 EU servers and all of the Ceres characters no being on Cobalt we've had to re-think that policy.

The rules have now been updated, here's a quick summary:
You are now free to join (or remain in) other outfits on Cobalt if you wish, if you already have a character on Cobalt either due to the merge, or from before you joined Trident, BUT this comes with a few stipulations (see below)
We're still very much a VS outfit. Trident won't have anything to do with the TR or NC on Cobalt, we've got Miller for that.

The formal changes to the charter

    i. There are no rules regarding alternate characters on servers other than Cobalt.
ii. There are no rules regarding alternate VS characters on Cobalt.
iii. Do not create new TR or NC characters on Cobalt once you are a member of Trident.
iv. Any alternate characters on Cobalt may not be used to gain any in game advantage, such as learning of planned events, spying on another outfit or faction.
    v. People playing other characters on Cobalt may not be in communication with anyone playing an opposition faction on Cobalt in any way (e.g. by being in a Mumble channel, contacting them in game, etc.).
vi. Do not advertise your membership of another faction or outfit on Cobalt publicly or recruit any Trident members to join it.
vii. Membership of another Faction or Outfit is sufficient grounds to be removed from Trident if the Trident Council feels your membership of that group is not in the best interests of Trident, or that it violates any of the above articles.

The aim of this is to let people who (in good faith) didn't make alts on Cobalt keep them because they've now been merged. While we still prefer people to play their Alts on Miller we won't actively pursue people who do it on Cobalt. This lets Ceres players from NC & TR freely join TRID without worrying about being kicked out, stops a lot of lies about our rules in the first place. But we still expect TRID member to play fair, the final decision is always up to council, if we think that what you're doing is against the spirit of these new rules we can still remove you from Trident.
