    About Star Citizen
    [IMG]

Star Citizen is the crowd-funded, upcoming Space Simulator that has taken the world by storm. Having raised over $52 million dollars to date for use to develop it (rising every day) this is going to be one of the best funded games of all time.

The full game once it is done will feature a single player (or coop) campaign taking you through a tour of duty in the UEE (United Empire of Earth) Navy as a space fighter pilot. Once you have done your military tour you will earn your citizenship in the empire and be free to travel the galaxy as you please. This is when the MMO persistent universe takes over. You will get some money and a starter ship and can do what you please. Whether it be carrying cargo, exploring unknown space, or taking on bounty hunting jobs for cash the galaxy is your oyster.

Star Citizen is being developed in modules. This means that part of the game will be released as development goes on. Currently there are 2 modules that are playable. The first is the hangar module, this is where you keep your virtual space ships can walk around and in them. The way the crowd funding works is that you can purchase a whole range of different ships to start the game with (even multiple ships if you so desire).
The second module that is out is the dogfighting module. This module takes place in-fiction as the Arena Commander simulator (a game in a game). The simulator lets you fly your ships around in free-flight, fighting against AI in the Vanduul Swarm mode, or fight other players in several different modes. Shortly racing will also be added to the mix.

Is it a bug of some sort, that I can't access the thread on the last link, or is it supposed to be that way? "You're not authorized to read this forum."
