The Council and the Officers of Trident has held the first quarterly meeting a few days ago, this is where we sit down and discuss where Trident is at, and where it's going. Division Changes: Firefall, due to its lack of active Trident participation has been downgraded to a Supported Game. You will now find all of its posts in its own subforum under the "Other Games" section. JackJack233 has decided to stay on as its leader, and so is now the Trident Representative for that game. The Battlefield 4 division has also shown a lack of activity. However it was decided to change it to simply to a Battlefield Division, covering all current and future Battlefield games. The continued status as a Division will be considered again next time. All the other Divisions will continue on as before with no changes made Officers: Vincentius has decided to step down from his position as Planetside 2 Competitive Officer. The Officer post in question has also been retired due to the lack of development of a competitive gaming scene in PS2. BlckJck will take over responsibility for the Friday Night ops events. A new officer position has been created: Social Media Officer, and ron65774 has been recruited to fill it. The Social Media Officer is responsible for increasing Trident's use of social media to promote the outfit itself, our events and content that our members have created (like youtube videos). Shortly you will find Trident not only on Twitter, but on Facebook and with a Youtube account too. Be sure to send in your links of Trident gameplay to Ron! Division Officers have been granted voting rights for game-specific promotions, and Council Members have been given the option to opt out of the voting process. This change is meant to give more informed votes for promotions. Officers not associated with the game has the same status as before Technical Changes: We have decided that the Trident mumble will now be open for use by other outfit of the same faction in Planetside 2. This is to facilitate greater cooperation with other VS outfits on Cobalt. All sergeants and up will now see a notification bar at the top of the website if there are new promotion nominations. This change was made to decrease the time it takes from a person is nominated until a decision has been made. Only Division Officers and the Council can read the comments. Finally the Council wishes to thank Vincentius for a job very well done as an officer in running the Ops, and making it into the most popular and long-lasting event we have. -The Trident Council
