Hi everyone. I'm seeing a lot of people in Planetside 2 complaining there is no more special ops outfits in game. That made me think and i came up with a solution. If the leadership of Trident agrees, I would like to start a new outfit under Trident that would have small squads/platoons operating on server. If you agree, dissagree or have any ideas please do comment.
Why can't you just start platoon and call it special ops. you can use our teamspeak server for that. I don't see why you should make new outfit for it? No one isn't denying your right to hold special ops.
Yes yesterday we had 110 people online. The activity has increased so much that you could just run a platoon/tactical squad in our outfit (if make a new outfit you will probably never get that many people )
Yes, I have thought about that option, but then it would be limited to our outfit only. If anybody else wanted to join, they wouldn't hear commands, because they are not in our teamspeak.
You would have same problem even if you had new outfit. Our ts server isn't limited only trident members, other people who want to join your ops, can join as guests if you tell address to them.
yea it kinda defeats the point of a public platoon if you don't use ingame comms (hell i'm pretty sure that you have to use them)
you can always write!(can't have trid tag if your comms not working or you're not using comms) Like last trident birthday party when comms were down. I had B-day platoon command over chat.(was awful but they followed orders)
Yeah but when you command over chat or even over ingame comms some people still wont follow. Commanding over ts and having people that will actually listen and follow is way better. Rarely will randoms actually follow chat commands.
Randoms follow in-game voice commands quite well though. At least when I led. In-game text chat obviously sucks for that, can't really blame them for not following those since it's very easy to miss them.
