Even if I wanted to, I can't. PayPal will give me a gigantic discount on fees if Trident is declared a non profit, and if we ever want to use TS3 or other commercial applications, most of them offer a free version for non profits. Besides, I get enough satisfaction out of seeing the community grow, if you want to thank me for my hard work, use the things I've created and encourage others to sign up on the forums and become active, right now we only have a small fraction of our playerbase on the forums.
Operational costs can include staff. It would be one thing if all you did was say "make it so" and others did the work. That is obviously not the case here. You do the work and your time is of value. Now, having said that and having run some communities in my time, I have to say my time was always last on a list I never even saw the middle of when it came to allocation of resources. I could justify just about anything to myself but money to myself
Lets just end this discussion on payment to me, I don't want money and I won't accept it. If you want to show your thanks to me in particular, then use the facilities and encourage others to do so by periodically giving information over OUTFIT and informing new members of the forums.
