i voted geforce just because i like tigers, so please do not take that in to a count cuz i dont understand a shit in theae kind of things
The Gaming 4G (the red one) is the faster of the two: 1279 MHz / 1140 MHz (OC Mode) 1253 MHz / 1114 MHz (Gaming Mode) 1178 MHz / 1051 MHz (Silent Mode) vs the 4GD5T (the tiger one): 1178 MHz / 1051 MHz https://www.msi.com/Graphics-card/GTX-970-GAMING-4G.html https://www.msi.com/Graphics-card/GTX-970-4GD5T.html Though my vote also goes for the one @Ice247 suggested or the AMD R9 390 which I have
the stock clock don't usually tell you much anyway, its more down to luck on how good the chip is at overclocking
I have the G1 gaming one from Gigabyte, but you should really take a look at the Gtx 1060 or RX480, they are way better priced and perform marginally better. I would personally go for the 480 cuz it has better dx12 support and AMD cards usually age better.
That doesn't make it faster (though it actually is faster, but for a different reason). He was also asking about the ASUS one, not the R9 390
Don't use gpuboss/cpuboss, those sites have ridiculous comparisons. On another note though, the 390 has gone from an underdog, to a card that outperforms the 970 with up to 15%. That is why I think AMD cards age better, just look at the 780ti now....
