This thread is for those participating in the monthly inter-outfit Cobalt Ops, it details server groups and whisper lists. All Force Commanders, PLs and SLs (regardless of outfit) should read. It is not necessary for regular squad members to read but you are welcome to if you wish. Discussion in this topic should relate only to suggestions/ideas for changes to the TS structure/defined whisper lists. Off topic posts or unnecessary clutter will be deleted. Server Groups: [CobOps] - ALL Cobalt Ops participants should be added to this group, it is used to ensure that users always have a base level of access to the server and don't become blocked from moving channels accidentally. It is also used for all calls. Force Commanders, PLs and SLs can all add users to this group and should help with it. [Force Cmdr/Ops Adm] - The VS, TR, NC Force Commanders and the Ops Administrators [VS PL] - VS Platoon Leaders and the VS Force Commander [TR PL] - TR Platoon Leaders and the TR Force Commander [NC PL] - NC Platoon Leaders and the NC Force Commander [VSP1 PL/SL] - VS Platoon 1 Platoon Leader and Squad Leaders [VSP2 PL/SL] - VS Platoon 2 Platoon Leader and Squad Leaders [VSP3 PL/SL] - VS Platoon 3 Platoon Leader and Squad Leaders [VSP4 PL/SL] - VS Platoon 4 Platoon Leader and Squad Leaders [TRP1 PL/SL] - TR Platoon 1 Platoon Leader and Squad Leaders [TRP2 PL/SL] - TR Platoon 2 Platoon Leader and Squad Leaders [TRP3 PL/SL] - TR Platoon 3 Platoon Leader and Squad Leaders [TRP4 PL/SL] - TR Platoon 4 Platoon Leader and Squad Leaders [NCP1 PL/SL] - NC Platoon 1 Platoon Leader and Squad Leaders [NCP2 PL/SL] - NC Platoon 2 Platoon Leader and Squad Leaders [NCP3 PL/SL] - NC Platoon 3 Platoon Leader and Squad Leaders [NCP4 PL/SL] - NC Platoon 4 Platoon Leader and Squad Leaders Channels/Whisper Lists by Type of Player: Squad Leaders (SLs): Squad Leaders should sit in their appropriate squad channel, e.g. if you are in TR Platoon 2 Bravo Squad you should be in TR --> TR Platoon 2 --> TRP2 Bravo Squad. Once you are in your channel you should right click yourself and select "Channel Commander": Regular Push-to-Talk - Talk to your squad members Button 1 - Talk to your PL and fellow SLs - Add a whisper key for the appropriate PL/SL group, for example if you are an SL in TR Platoon 2, add a whisper for [TRP2 PL/SL] Platoon Leaders (PLs): Platoon Leaders should sit in the appropriate squad channel, e.g. if you are in TR Platoon 2 Bravo Squad you should be in TR --> TR Platoon 2 --> TRP2 Bravo Squad. You should NOT assign "Channel Commander" to yourself as then the squad leader will not be able to assign it. Regular Push-to-Talk - Talk to the players in the squad Button 1 - Talk to your SLs - Add a whisper key for the appropriate PL/SL group, for example if you are the PL for TR Platoon 2, add a whisper for [TRP2 PL/SL] Button 2 - Talk to the Force Commander and other PLs - Add a whisper key for the appropriate PL group, for example if you are a TR PL, add a whisper for [TR PL] Button 3 - Talk to your whole platoon - Add a whisper key for your 4 squad channels. Force Commanders (FCs): Force Commanders should sit in the appropriate command channel, e.g. if you are the TR Force Commander you should be in TR --> TR Command. Regular Push-to-Talk - Talk to anyone else in the command channel, probably no one, since you have no friends. :'( Button 1 - Talk to your PLs - Add a whisper key for the appropriate PL group, for example if you're the TR FC, add a whisper for [TR PL] Button 2 - Talk to the FCs from the enemy factions and the ops admins - Add a whisper key for the [Force Cmdr/Ops Adm] group Button 3 - Talk to all the players on your empire - Add a whisper key for all of the appropriate squad channels (might take a while sorry)
