I was looking for someone who would teach me the proper ways of heavy assault class. Anyway to help with that?
I would love to have a mentor in Magriding, Scythe, Galpiloting and Harraser i think i am okay at most of the other stuff and then i hope to learn to make tactical squads but lets start with the other stuff so i think its Omnishoot who can help me Hope to hear back
I'd still be willing to do magriding and leading although there's probably been a few nerfs/buffs in the tank game since I've last played
They replaced thermals with Threat Detection Optics for all vehicles so you can no longer highlight infantry, but you can still highlight vehicles. They did it to reduce anti-infantry farming and therefore, you need to seek infantry on your own. But as AV is concerned, TD optics have now increased range.
I think night vision or norma optics with potato graphics settings is better for anti infantry now. Over the years they have nerfed vehicle vs infantry play over and over. With base design, with increased resistance, with anti infantry vehicle weapon nerfs, with rocket launcher buff, with base design, with invisible mines, with eod hud not working, now with this. Next step is to make the AP and halberd round not 1hit kill
I would like Djupfryst to teach me about squad leading and vehicle gameplay. Basicaly everything on his list besides infiltrator.
Right, I hadn't noticed, but this thread is really, really popular. So I'm thinking it needs an update. Full disclosure, we never really got this mentorship thing going in the first place. But I think many of us are still open to the idea. So if any of you are still interested - and the view-counter would suggest that you are - then leave a post in this thread! The list of mentors is outdated, to say the least, but if you just tell us what you want help with then, well, we'll see what happens! Ok, sounds good. But we're gonna have to be a bit more specific. But first off, we're once again in the middle of Server Smash training, so I probably can't do anything like this at the moment. After the Smash is over, after March 24th, we can figure out how to do this. In the meantime, I'd suggest you keep joining our squads and platoons, to get a feel for what's expected of an SL. And for vehicle play, well, if you're looking to fly an ESF then, as it happens, @PunisherPad has just returned and has been talking about leading some training. So keep an eye out for that. Other than that, I don't know.
Thanks to @Djupfryst for mentioning it. For the people here that don't know me, I used to be a TRID member in the somewhat early days of the game (2013-2014), that went on TR in 2014 and pretty much mained that faction til 2016 (Since then I play all factions depending on fights etc.). People might recognize me under my TR name, which is PunisherIceman. Since I can fly pretty well, I offer ESF training to people that ask me personally. If you want to contact me, then either do it here, add me as a friend on steam: PunisherIceman or pm me on reddit Punisherlceman (The second I is a small L in that one). Otherwise you can add my cobalt chars ingame as a friend and ask me there(PunisherIceman (TR), Punisher1ceman (NC), Pun1sherIceman (VS1) or NPotato1 (VS2 and at the same time my TRID char)). Regarding training with multiple people or groups at once, I just say I won't do that anymore, cause it is extremely exhausting and tiresome, cause flying ESFs is quite a complex mechanic in PS2 and certainly the hardest playstyle to learn and execute well and I don't expect everybody to understand everything, when I say it the first or second time and show it.
That's awesome to hear. Vehicle play in general is something I'm pretty poor at, especially ESFs. After these smashes are over I would love to get some (as many as you can tolerate doing) 1v1's in with you.
